Abstract: 

In the response phase the most important step is to assess disaster after occurrence. By disaster assessment, we can obtain all the needed information for controlling, decision-making and also disaster planning. Lack of disaster assessment causes you to make unsuitable decisions based on limited or inadequate data which leads to imperfect disaster response. According to IFRC, disaster response operation will have an unsuitable function without disaster assessment. This paper presents the principles and concepts of disaster assessment.

Abstract: 

Assessment of agriculture sustainability and recognizing weaknesses and strengths in each region can help legislators in adopting policies and strategies that correspond to the current situation. The purpose of this study is to assess the Iran’ s agriculture sustainability through sustainable agriculture indicators in five groups economic, social, environmental, technical and policy. In order to achieve this goal, using a stable composite index and measurement of weights based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process method, the overall level of agriculture sustainability has been determined for the first time in during the period of 2005-2015. The results showed that the agriculture sustainability combined index in Iran whit a mean of 0. 521 is in the average level of sustainability and the trend of this index over the years studied has increased from 0. 41 to 0. 65 at a rate of 0. 415. The provinces of Fars, Khorasan Razavi and East Azarbayegan have the best stability status respectively with 0. 683, 0. 653 and 0. 625 and the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, South Khorasan and Hormozgan with 0. 348, 0. 374 and 0. 397 have the weakest agriculture sustainability respectively. According to the average level of agricultural sustainability, is necessary to the custodians of the agriculture sector with invest in production infrastructure such as seed, fertilizer, use of modern irrigation systems and appropriate agricultural method take steps for agricultural sustainability development.

Abstract: 

Sustainable development is a fair distribution of development opportunities which considering to longterm vision and compliance the inter generational and inter period equity and indicates various aspects including economic, social, political and environment. The importance of sustainable development has increased by passing the time and the result of the various aspects of the policies of the public sector. One of the most important aspects of sustainable development is to achieve the financial sustainability that is the government‘ s fiscal policies with the long period of time and considering the results of these policies with all of its aspects. In this regard, standard indictors are required to assess the sustainability of public sector activities. The purpose of this paper is to examine the indictors used to assess the financial sustainability and its evolution. These indictors are introdused in two categories as traditional and innovative approaches. The traditional approach that include onedimensional indictors of finance including: the debt ratio, the primary surplus, the primary gap, the tax gap and innovative approach that include the composite indictors in various areas of specialization including: fiscal responsibility indictor, key national indictors including social, environmental, and economic indicators.

Abstract: 

Among the different dimensions of sustainable development, the social aspect is known as one of the main dimensions. This is more in line with the quality of life and emphasize on the concepts such as foresightedness, justice, participation and empowerment. The main aim of the present research is to evaluate social stability indicators in thirteen regions of Mashhad city. For this reason, multiple criteria decision making model of Vikor and related analytical methods have been used for rating of the thirteen regions of Mashhad metropolis based on social stability indicators. The present study is a descriptive-analytical research and statistical population in this study is thirteen regions of Mashhad city with the population of 2766258 people, among the population 390 persons have been selected as samples based on Cochran formula. The sample has been randomly selected from different regions. Based on the results of the research, the indicators of social stability in the framework of Vikor model show that the regions 9 and 1 have the most favorable conditions in terms of the realization of social stability indicators, and by contrast, regions 3 and 11 have the most undesirable situations. The results of the research have relatively high correlation (0.743) with previous studies conducted about the overall situation of sustainability in Mashhad metropolis.

Abstract: 

Background & Objective: Agricultural sector development without sustainability attitude has led to many problems. Sustainability has three dimensions: economic, social and environmental. Over time, increasing agricultural production has led to the overuse of natural resources and therefore, destruction of the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to measure agricultural sustainability using a composite index. Materials & Methods: For this purpose, firstly 35 economic, social and environmental indicators were gathered for 30 Iranian provinces. Then agricultural sustainability was measured using the Morris, the Mc-Granahan, and the principal component analysis methods. Results: The results showed that Khorasan Razavi, Fars, Isfahan, and Khuzestan provinces have higher agricultural sustainability than other provinces. Also, in the economic dimension: Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, and Isfahan provinces,in the social dimension: Fars, Mazandaran, and West Azerbaijan provinces,and in the environmental dimension: Gilan, South Khorasan, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces,are more sustainable. In addition, Qom, Bushehr, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces have the lowest economic and social sustainability. As well, Qazvin and Bushehr provinces have the lowest level of environmental sustainability. Conclusion: Findings showed that unsustainable provinces are weak in socio-economic indicators,especially in seeds, fertilizer applications, use of modern irrigation systems, and appropriate agricultural methods. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in the infrastructure of these indicators to upgrade agricultural sustainability.

Abstract: 

Today, according to the international significance of sustainability, scholars aim to develop sustainability assessment models within the banking industry. Since that, the banks affect the development of sustainability within the countries both directly and indirectly. The purpose of the present study is to provide a comprehensive Assessment Model for the Iranian banking system, which evaluates the bank's sustainability through different aspects. Therefore, as implied research with a descriptive mixed method, the study employed a Meta-synthesis approach in order to obtain codes, themes, and categories of sustainability in the banking industry. In the following, ISM structured a network of relationships between the themes as a model while ANP helped to determine the weights of the themes and categories. Ultimately using the content analysis, the sustainability information of the banks extracted to feed the provided model, which lead to the sustainability computation of 27 governmental and non-governmental Iranian banks. As a result, Pasargad Bank ranked first, while Ayande and Melli Banks ranked second and third respectively. Moreover, it became clear that the average sustainability score of non-governmental was higher than governmental banks, while most of them neglect the environmental issues, which needs to be considered in their strategies.
